Ho letto di Spoleto...

(I read about Spoleto)... and then I visited Spoleto! It was a nice little day trip. We had mass at the Duomo (pics 7 & 8) and then visited the city.

Leaving the Duomo I saw a little boy (bambino) playing with his kite, his puppy and his mom. I had to snap a picture. (pic 5)

We had lunch at a very good local trattoria, Trattoria Festival, (pic 1) . We feasted on antipasta, homemade pasta with tomatoes and a spicy pepper sauce, followed by a tasty risotto and then grilled sausage, chicken and other meats (??...it was very tasty so I didn't ask) salad and dessert (a cake doused with liquor and whipped cream.

I snapped a shot of my friends Meganne and Janelle at lunch. (pic 2)Janelle is smiling even though she was just served a plate of salami, proscuitto etc. and she is a strict vegetarian. Hey...pass it to me. I'm always willing to help out when I can! (smile)

We saw the ancient amphitheater (pic 3) and you could see where some of the marble and other materials were removed to make other architectural marvels.

The bridge of towers (pic 4) connected the city with the sacred mountain that has caves used in the past by hermits and an Abbey among other structures. It created a beautiful view. I even took they obligatory, "Hey, I really was here" tourist picture. (pic 6) I was holding on to that handrail pretty tightly as it we were high up and it was a bit windy that day.

We also visited the Museo Diocesano Di Spoleto - Norcia E Basilica Di S. Eufemia (pic 9).

The last two pictures were taken at an Americans in Rome Networking Event. The first is of me and my friend Lora. (pic 10) That night we were treated to a song by one of the members, a jazz singer that I think used to play with the Cleveland Browns. (pic 11)
