Today, March 10th is my 36th Birthday...Whoohoo!

I had an excellent lunch with my friend Meganne. The waiters (Edmund and Roberto) surprised me with a fruit Tiramisu and a birthday candle. It was very sweet of them! (And delicious!!!)

In the afternoon I went to Paul VI Hall at the Vatican where Pope Benedict VI presided at a Marian prayer vigil marking the fifth European Day for Universities. The theme of the vigil was: "Intellectual charity, the way to renewed cooperation between Europe and Asia." Students from various countries lead us in the recitation of the Rosary with the contemplation of the Glorious Mysteries. In further linkups local ordinaries--cardinals and bishops--recited brief introductory prayers to each of the Mysteries.

I later went to dinner at a restaurant with food from the Calabria region with a group of friends. After dinner, we finished off the evening with huge slices of American style chocolate chunk cake and vanilla ice cream at the Hard Rock Cafe. Yum!!!!
